The Edge Foundry exists because I was once a very stuck trader.
I invested in three different trading mentorships which costed me a total of $12k. I watched thousands of YouTube videos. I read the books everyone recommends. And despite all of that effort, I still couldn’t become consistently profitable. There was no clear path forward—just more information, more strategies, and more confusion.
What finally changed things for me was stepping back and studying how professional firms actually develop trading systems. Not stock picks. Not opinions. A process: define rules, test them, track performance, review, refine. When I built that structure for myself, I was finally able to become consistently profitable.
The Edge Foundry exists because I don’t want anyone else to be stuck where I was—spending years and thousands of dollars without a real path forward. Now that I’ve found a way through, I want to share the process that made it possible.
I’m Kelvin. My background is in building businesses that have to work in the real world—traditional, brick-and-mortar businesses where you open an office, hire people, send crews into the field, and deliver results every day. In that world, systems aren’t optional. If the process breaks, the business breaks.
I carried that mindset into trading. I wasn’t interested in opinions or hype. I wanted something I could build: clear rules, measurable outcomes, and a way to improve over time. I explored many approaches before narrowing everything down to a single strategy I could execute with clarity and consistency.
That builder’s lens is what shaped The Edge Foundry. It isn’t a collection of tips or trades—it’s a workshop. A place to construct a process you can rely on.
I built this the way I build everything else: one solid system at a time.
Banks and Institutions employ highly educated teams, complex algorithms, and enormous computing power to build statistical edge. Retail traders don’t have that kind of budget—and they don’t need it.
A focused retail trader can outperform many institutional desks over a year for one simple reason: simplicity works better. Fewer indicators. Fewer setups. Fewer Instruments.
One strategy, understood deeply.
Complexity feels sophisticated, but it often hides the truth. A simple system—clearly defined, honestly tracked, and regularly reviewed—reveals what’s actually working. You don’t need a PhD in mathematics or black-box algorithms to build edge. You need evidence. You need consistency. You need a way to see reality.
Our mission at The Edge Foundry is to give retail traders a simple, repeatable system for building and refining edge—one that replaces noise with clarity and makes professional-grade development accessible to anyone willing to do the work.
What I’ve developed is a much simpler way to review and refine trading strategies—using nothing more than clear rules and a spreadsheet. It’s cost-effective, practical, and accessible to any retail trader who’s willing to do the work.
It is powerful, and the reason it is powerful is precisely because it is kept simple
